Postcards from Here
Correspondence from a suburban flower farm and the meditations and process therein.
There is a magic to postcards…the surprise, the iconic template, the minimalism. Despite their size they stand out in our mail and draw us out to a far away place. They come a little worse for wear.
I have been collecting postcards from as long as I can remember, at first through my grandparents as they would share analog glimpses into their travels, written with love. Then I would start to collect my own, maybe not to send but to bring me back to a moment and feeling and beautify my walls, memo boards, and refrigerator.
Now I would love to drop a little postcard into your email inbox. You can expect a brief note from me to you that I jot down to mark my time and space, my cut flower business, my here. May it be a deep breath for you or in the least a way for me to share the beauty of my here, this little flower farm nestled into suburbia.
